Ickworth Park

For the past few days Jason, Murphy and myself have been up in Suffolk visiting my parents, and having a little mini break, and my gosh have we needed it. It’s not until you stop and actually switch off you realise how tired you are and in need of a few good afternoon naps (which I’ve been sure to fit in!).

We went off to explore Ickworth House and park yesterday, the house is set in absolutely stunning grounds, and we ventured off on a lovely five mile walk around the estate. I’ve been itching to take more close up shots with my camera, and armed with my Dad’s Canon Ultrasonic lens there was no stopping me! The lens is non-zoom so you have to make sure you’re in the perfect spot when taking your photo, which took a little bit of getting used to, but after half an hour or so I started to get the hang of it and got some lovely shots.

We then came across the walled garden, which was just how I imagine  Frances Hodgson Burnett’s Secret Garden to look. Abundant with wild flower blooms an apple orchard and all manner of home grown vegetables, I wasn’t quite sure what to take a picture of first . .
